Hosted by Remi Lavictoire, Ian Fults and Jonathan Colbon
This week on The Sci-Fi Movie Podcast, Rem, Jonathan and Ian review “Superman: The Movie” from 1978.
Considering two of our hosts actually have Superman tattoo’s, it’s a fair bet we’ll have alot of good things to say. Considered by many to be the first Superhero film, we dig into the the story, production and legacy of one of the first and most powerful of all: Superman.
The visual effects in 1978 were truly astonishing. Everyone in the theatre could literally believe that man can fly. Backed up by a tight and funny script, the solid cast of Christopher Reeve, Margot Kidder and Gene Hackman, made “Superman: The Movie” a winner in 1978 and a film that’s still fun to watch today.
Aside from a few dated visual effects which is forgivable, we have little to be critical.
If you missed it in the theatres in ’78, go get a copy of “Superman: The Movie” and share it with the kids!
